    Happy Birthday Alexz

    No I didn’t forget — I was tweeting all day about it on my personal and AW twitters about this special day! However, my sister wouldn’t get off of the computer, because she was on Club Penguin, so I am posting this post now!

    Today is Alexz’s 23rd birthday. If you’ve been a fan as long as me, you’ve seen Alexz through the past 5 years and reminisced back to her days on So Weird, that you barely remember. I do however remember sitting on my couch 7 or 8 years ago in my hometown watching the Carnival episode of So Weird. Anyone remember that episode? That’s the episode I remember most. “To Dream About You” has graced my ears over that past 8 years and I cannot express in text how much that song has blessed my ears. Then a couple years later (around the time I became a real Alexz fan), Running Back leaked. I remember the way the song hit me so hard in a way no song had before. I remember the first time I recited the lyrics back to myself and actually listened. “When you’re not safe at home and you’re running back, running back and you’re off track.” Those lyrics seriously got me through a horrible loss of a very close friend; someone who I had thought was going to be there for ever, was gone. I didn’t feel safe for a year or so and kept forcing myself back to that place.

    Anyways, I am very proud to say that I have seen 5 of Alexz’s birthday and I really think she deserves a happy birthday today. So I hope you do Alexz! You definitely deserve it after all that you’ve gone through in the past year.

    I’m going to cut this post off now, since I have to go to bed so soon. But before I do! Me and Haley have been working on a super special project for all Alexz fans, but due to a minor set back (if you follow either of us on twitter, you know what), will be released later than we had anticipated. I know it’ll be better than before though, we have to re-do the entire project, so I’m hoping we’ll improve on it :D

      Definitely 24 Hours especially when the lyric goes “I can’t have anything I want. They said I’m just too young but it’s not my fault. I’ll find my own way home if I gotta. I’ll make it all alone if I gotta” I can definitely relate to that cuz so many people just underestimate us becuz of my age!!and it gets really annoying!cuz i can do stuff, and i know i’m able to do it.. hahaha.the lyrics are definitely true.

      Also That Girl always got caught on my mind. I’m constantly singing just cuz it’s so unique.and it really pleased me to find out that Alexz actually wrote That Girl when she was only about 13!!At least that’s what I read on an interview! So cool!! hahahha.

      Just Wanted Your Love is pretty amazing!hahaha when she said “let’s not fight, i’m just a little feisty maybe..” hahahah. too funny!! hahahahha. cuz i mean.. some of us are just a bit more feisty than others!n thts not a bad thing! hahahha.

      anways, those are just a few that really got stuck in my head all the time!

      There are in fact more songs that inspired me.
      But probably I agree the most with ‘thatgirlucantshutup’.

      24 hours was one of the first songs I knew from Alexz, and it was always my favourite in the beginning.
      The lyrics really spoke to me in a way that no other song ever did.
      My life was at that moment a bit like in the song. I wanted some things I couldn’t have. I wanted I life that I couldn’t have.
      I had friends I couldn’t trust, etc…

      And because of that song, I became an Alexz fan.
      In that way, ’24 hours’ is really important to me.

      Now, 3,4 years later, I’m still an Alexz fan.
      All her songs tell a part of my life.
      ‘Chicago’ is about something I have to go trough. ‘Shout’ makes me smile, I don’t know why. ‘Swallowed’ is about a feeling everybody has sometimes-in my interpretation-: getting the feeling that you can’t do what you want. That some people want to stop you.
      ‘Skin’ has almost the same meaning as for Jude.

      I can go on about every song from Alexz- they all mean a lot to me.
      Alexz is just the best artist I’ve ever heard, and her music makes me believe that I have to live my dreams.
      She made me realize that if you want something hard enough, you can do it.
